Here i went to Custard Factory and found an illustration artist called ... . I have uploaded some of this work for influence and primary research. I like the typeface he was created, it looks very neat yet also messy. Within his design theres alot of columbs used to created shape and for the type to be clear.

Here i have printed out my type face i have designed onto asatate material threw a printer, i done this cause when printed onto the asatate the ink was still wet which made it able for me then to bring it onto objects such as i have done above.. i printed my name 'ocean' onto my bedroom mirror.. i took a few camera shots just incase the lighting was to bright for it to be seen. I am hopefully going to experiement more doing this on other object as i have previously.

Here i have just practiced using my typeface by spelling words and sentences out to see how it would work. I think it is successful personally because it is still clear to see the fingerprint within the typeface

My designed typeface A-Z, 1-0 i have done a mistake within this typeface infortunatly with the letter 'n' it being lower case instead of upper. I will create this letter again.

A draft typeface i created simply using a fingerprint and circle/oval shapes. I made a Caps and number font but was not able to create a lower case font because i found it too difficult.

This is just a mini leaflet i found in a magazine which i have scanned in. I like the slogan to it cause it goes well with the fingerprint due to identity.

This is some symbols i created using an fingerprint. I was simply just experiementing outcomes i could achieve using the same fingerprint. I was able to make 18 symbols which i think are personally nice

Gattaca

This is a video i watched about identity/ DNA which relates back to my whole brief. It is about a man who want to fulfill his dream of travelling to space. Vincent Freeman (played by Ethan Hawke) uses Jerome Morrow (played by Jude Law) identity to make his dreams come true due to him not having health problems which made him not able to do this. He uses his identity by using his DNA such as blood, skin germs, urine, fingerprint and much more for him to look exactly like Jerome. Everything was going well, Vincent managed to get a place in the rocket going to place until there was a murder, and a strand of this hair was left at the scene. This made him worry of being caught due to investigators searching to find the murderer. Funnily enough one of the investigators was his blood brother, who he did not get along with due to being the less healthy one, since little competing for victory.

Vincent met a Irene Cassini (Uma Thurman) whilst at work then having a relationship with, she found out the truth about vincent identity but also helped him out for him not to be caught.

The investigators had no proof that Vincent was using Jerome's identification or was capable of murder but his brother knew it was him. Vincent was able to fulfill his dream and go into space.

Right, here i have used one of the vectored fingerprints i created previously and was able to create some letter and number forms out of them. The colour text is basically showing all the different numbers and letters i have found upper case and also lowercase. You may notice with the letter 'B' you will not be able to find it within the fingerprint, this is because i have simply doubled my letter 'D' placing them together to create the letter 'B'.

I prefer the outcomes on the tv's because they are clearer to see and can see more detail in them than other photos i took with the drinking glass and on the mirrors.

I have tried to leave my own fingerprint on object around the the house such as different mirrors with different lighting, tv's and also a drinking glass. Some came out successful and some didn't. I was trying to aim to get my own personal fingerprints seen clearly on an object including the detail patterns on my fingertips. I wasn't able to create this image but i was able to create outlines of my fingertips and hand prints. This is simply just for research now because i was hoping i would be able to get a detailed fingerprint created to try and create a type face but that was not possible.
